2020 Get Out! For Wellness at Riverview Park

Riverview Park, tucked between the Lehigh River and D&L Trail in East Penn Township, is home to the Lehigh River’s only river-side campground, 2 ponds, mixed forest, playground, disc golf course, and a welcoming pavilion. We’ll visit some of the diverse habitats here and hike the D&L trail southbound to Lehigh Gap Nature Center’s wetlands, found on a hidden loop trail. This is an easy, 1 ½-2 mile hike. Leashed dogs welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers. Post-hike, warm up around a campfire and enjoy some roasted apples! Directions: Riverview Park, Palmerton, PA 18071; from PA Turnpike Mahoning Valley, take 209S/Interchange Rd, turn left onto 248E, then right onto 895W/Lehigh St (signs for Bowmanstown). Turn left onto Riverview Rd. Park is on your left.
