LEARN ABOUT CARBON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

    At this time each year we invite members and their friends to participate in an annual “business” meeting of the Palmerton Chamber.  We are an affiliate of the Carbon County and Lehigh Valley Chambers and as such we do not maintain a separate dues structure. Instead, we rely on contributions and other support to fund our modest budget - and although it is modest, we do seek your budget approval each year.

Some of us may be unfamiliar with the Carbon County Community Foundation that was founded in 2015 to serve the growing financial needs of non-profit organizations within the County.  It is growing rapidly and Amber Breiner, its Executive Director, will provide a brief description of how the Foundation works and why it is such an important and efficient means of supporting groups in need.

Mark your calendar for an informative meeting at noon on Tuesday October 9th  at Bert’s Steakhouse at 416 Delaware Avenue where you will also have an opportunity to share your thoughts on how we can better serve the community.    

Also, please take note of the new banners on Delaware Avenue that celebrate Palmerton’s status as a National Historic District.  The Chamber expresses its thanks to the Palmerton Area Historical Society for purchasing these attractive banners.  Well done!
